The History of the Fraternity's Bigger & Better Business Mission:
Bigger and Better Business became the first national program of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. It was first introduced to the fraternity at the Tenth Anniversary Conclave held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in December 1924. When Bigger and Better Business was adopted as a national program, special emphasis was placed on work with negro businesses. The main purpose at the time was to encourage negro business to improve their business acumen, efficiency and service to the public in order to favorably compete with other businesses.
A Message from our Director of Bigger & Better Business:
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Omicron Chi Sigma Alumni Chapter, believes that the improvement of economic conditions of minorities is a major factor in the improvement of the general welfare of society. It is upon this conviction that the Bigger and Better Business Program rests.
As Bigger and Better Business Director, my objective is to create ideas & innovative thinking that will help our brotherhood and communities go the distance with all their business questions and needs. We are delivering clear-cut truths, thought-provoking advice, hands on workshop activities, and underutilized solutions that will save our local entrepreneurs & businesses time, money, and heartache
Fraternally,
Bro. Aaron S. Wright
